I added facial esthetics to my practice in 2009 starting with Botox and dermal fillers, then adding Kybella and Skinvive. Based on patient demand, I added Optimus skincare including RF Microneedling, RF, and IPL. Not only have I been an injector with continuous hands-on training, but I have also been a lecturer and trainer.

Skin Tightening Procedures

Radiofrequency with microneedling rejuvenates the skin using tiny needles and radiofrequency waves. The treatment is a form of controlled skin injury. The “damage” stimulates the growth of healthy new skin which can benefit common skin issues like scars and wrinkles. It is minimally invasive with minimal downtime.

Also known as a photo facial, is a way to improve the color, texture, and tone of your skin on the face, neck, and chest without surgery. Lumecca removes dark spots from sun damage and the aging process as well as redness from the skin. IPL is a gentle but effective treatment that has little to no downtime.

Preparing for Facial injections

Avoid any medications that can prolong bleeding, such as aspirin and non-steroidal anti-inflammatories (NSAIDs), for at least a week before receiving the treatment for wrinkles to reduce the risk of bruising and bleeding at the injection site.

After Facial Injections

Following the injection, your healthcare professional may gently massage the treated areas. The procedure is quick and easy and the results are instant! The injection itself usually takes only about 15 minutes. You should avoid the following for at least 24 hours after treatment:

• Strenuous exercise.
• Consumption of alcoholic beverages.
• Extended exposure to sun or heat.
